In a shocking heated exchange between Sen. Mitt Romey and Rep. George Santos, Romney approached Santos, telling him:

“You don’t belong here,” adding, “You ought to be embarrassed.”

Rep. George Santos Drama – New Details Emerge

Following President Biden’s State of the Union, Romney told reporters:

“I didn’t expect that he’d be standing there, trying to shake hands with every senator and the President of the United States.” then adding that Santos “should be sitting in the back row and staying quiet, instead of parading in front of the President and people coming into the room.”

While Romney makes a fair point that Santos has made himself a political pariah, and Santos should likely be staying away from the spotlight as it’s a bad look for the Republican party, Santos got his digs back at Romney on Twitter, saying:

Hey @MittRomney just a reminder that you will NEVER be PRESIDENT!”

BREAKING: George Santos To “Recuse Himself”

Santos became the center of attention and controversy in the U.S. House of Representatives after being caught lying about his mother dying in the World Trade Center attack on 9/11/01, his Jewish heritage, as well as his work and education history, Santos has also been alleged to have connections to a Ponzi scheme, as well as allegations that he used a fake animal charity to scam disabled veterans in 2016, promising to raise money for their dog’s cancer treatment, however, he’s alleged to have kept the fund raised for himself.

Santos has since dropped in popularity as a result of being accused of lying about not only his resume, but also his personal and family life.

The public, as well as both right-wing and left-wing news outlets immediately turned on the newly elected U.S. Congressman. Throughout the following weeks, the Republican from New York had his approval rating continue to drop like a rock, as it is now approaching now nearly single digits.

According to polling done by Newsday and Siena College, 83% of all Santos’ constituents have a negative opinion of him. This polling includes 78% of Republican voters in the Nassau County and Queens districts overwhelmingly want Rep. George Santos to step down and resign from his position representing New York’s 3rd Congressional District.

Don Levy, the director of the Siena College Poll said, “NY-3 voters overwhelmingly and unambiguously say Rep. Santos should resign. Whether you look it at by party, gender, race, age, religion, income, or which county the voters live in, the answer is the same: resign,” adding, “Similarly, voters of every party and every demographic breakdown know who Santos is, are following the news about Santos, and view Santos unfavorably.”

  1. Too bad a real Republican didn’t put him in his place. Mitt has no room to talk about lying. Mitt has been lying for years claiming to be a Republican when he is really a Democrat.. They should of got a long fine! Two peas in a pod. Liars!

  2. sfu, romney. No republicans are happy with Santos but no need to trash him in public. I suspect you also trash family in public just so you look like the “big man”

  3. Mitt shows how rude he can be attacking Santos on the floor.
If he is saying all the politicians that tell lies have to sit on the
back row, Joe Biden would have to be the first, Pelosi next, and
most of the other Democrats. There would not be enough room
on the back row for all the liers. Maybe Mitt would even to sit there
    also.

  4. He should resign. The Republican party should be making him resign. They are always saying they have standards and the left doesn’t ( which is correct) then they should follow through on them.

  5. Mitt should be one of the last to point out any short comings on anyone! He’s a RINO! He should resign himself!

  6. I also condemn Santos for his untruthfulness, however, I have far more concern about the double standard and hypocrisy that his detractors display when they vilify him, and yet give Biden a pass on the whoppers that he has told for decades. Yave you ever heard about the goose and gander?!?

  7. so where were the fact checkers when he was running. I guess nobody could be bothered to fully “Vet” him. What an embarrassment!

  8. It is amazing that Mitt Romney would criticize anyone about anything! He is a buffoon of the highest order and the State of Utah bought a bill of goods with this RINO. I can’t imagine that he could be elected there, but it happened, and I know that there has to be a lot of folks in Utah that regret their choice!

  9. To be truthful Mitt does not belong there either he is a rhino the other guy is just a liar the libs want him out because they will get someone in

  10. In case you didn’t notice sociopaths become politicians because they can spend your hard earned money, tell you what to do and get “campaign contributions” from big corporations with little risk. At least 80% of Dermocrap and 60% of Republican political “leaders” are sociopath liars. 60% or 70% of voters have never had to deal with sociopaths and don’t realize they’re being played for chumps.

  11. Are we to assume that old Joe’s embellishments are OK. As long as they’re politically correct lies or, at least, hateful to Trump.
