President Biden wants his words back after letting slip that he doesn’t expect Congress to do ‘much of anything on abortion with Republicans likely to take the House. The President made it known he is not confident about codifying abortion rights while taking questions following a press conference in Bali, Indonesia. Indonesia is hosting the G20 Summit and earlier in the day he had met with Chinese President Xi. After the press conference, Biden was asked by NBC’s Peter Alexander whether Americans could expect anything in Congress “as it relates to abortion rights.”

“I don’t think they can expect much of anything other than we’re going to maintain our positions. I’m not getting into more questions. I shouldn’t have even answered your question,” Biden responded clumsily.

He also shot down the chances of codifying abortion rights legislation:

“I don’t think there’s enough votes to codify unless something happens unusual in the House. I think we’re going to get very close in the House… but I don’t think we’re going to make it.”

Radical Democrats have been vehement that abortion rights become codified after the overturning of Roe and many campaigned heavily on the promise to make it a priority if elected.

Biden is known for having a list of reporters to call on for questions and it’s reported Alexander wasn’t on it.

  1. LISTEN UP….GOD owns EVERYTHING on HIS Planet EARTH. HE made it…HE owns it…HE signed it HE owns it. HIS Signature is in EVERY LIVING THING. SCIENTISTS recently discovered this. GOD’S ways and LAWS stay the SAME. They do NOT change with a drop of a HAT. From SamuraiQueen aka CHIAKIA. 😄😄😄😇😇😇😉😉😉

  2. Congress should never codify abortion rights. Doing so not only legalizes murder of the unborn, but is unconstitutional. The Dobb’s decision states that the states have the right to ban abortion because it falls under the Rights of States in the 10th Amendment.
