Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.)

Tammy Baldwin has been serving as a Senator from Wisconsin since 2013. She is the first openly LGBT person to be elected to the U.S. Senate. Prior to her time in the Senate, Baldwin served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Wisconsin’s 2nd congressional district. During her time in Congress, she has focused on issues such as healthcare, job creation, and civil rights.

Democrats have had lucky elections in Wisconsin in 2016 and 2020. In 2016, Baldwin won her Senate race by less than a percentage point. In 2020, Biden would also win the state by nearly the exact same slim margin.
