Geffen is a billionaire film studio executive who was an early backer of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign. After helping Clinton fundraise tens of millions from the entertainment world, he betrayed her by hosting a lavish fundraiser for the more charismatic Barack Obama.
However, a quick proverbial stab in the back wasn’t sufficient for Geffen. He twisted the knife as he pulled the blade out, telling the New York Times that Hillary was a pathological liar and the easiest Democratic presidential candidate to beat.
