Californians who get the coronavirus jab will be eligible to win $116.5 million in cash prizes from the state government.

In his continuing crusade to avoid getting the axe in a recall election, embattled California governor Gavin Newsom announced that he would be incentivizing state residents to get vaccinated.

As the Golden State prepares to fully reopen on June 15th, Newsom is concerned that inoculation rates are tanking with only two-thirds of residents at least partially vaccinated.

“We are mindful that if we continue down this path and this trend, we’re not going to get where all of us need to be, and that is north of 70% of all eligible Californians getting administered doses of this lifesaving vaccine,” he said at a press conference last week.

The “Vax for the Win” plan will enter any California resident ages 12 and above, including undocumented immigrants, into the program as soon as they receive their first shot. Winners won’t receive their prizes until they complete their vaccination series, and the state will retain funds won by minors in a savings account until their eighteenth birthday.

“California has already made incredible progress in the fight against COVID-19, with the lowest case rates in the country while administering millions more vaccines than any other state, but we aren’t stopping there,” he said. “We’re doing everything it takes to get Californians vaccinated as we approach June 15 to help us fully reopen safely.”

Beginning May 27th, two million Californians will receive a $50 gift or grocery card and be automatically entered into a cash lottery. On “$50,000 Fridays” thirty winners will be awarded the cash prize on drawings June 4th and June 11th. The contest will conclude with a grand prize draw on June 15th, when ten residents will win $1.5 million apiece.

Other states have launched similar initiatives, albeit on a smaller scale. Maryland is giving away $40K a day for forty days, while Ohio is handing out five $1 million prizes to vaccinated adults and five full scholarships to eligible minors.

Governor Cuomo is trying to tempt New Yorkers to get vaccinated with scratch-off lottery tickets that will reward one lucky vaccine recipient with a $5 million jackpot prize.

  1. Did the California Legislature pass a bill to authorize this lottery? I believe according to the state constitution they are the only ones who can.

      1. You said the magic word: Royalty. That term was bandied about when the Hildebeast was stumping for the presidency. America is not an empire, nor are we a Monarchy. It would behoove our population to cull relatives of our entrenched congressional parasites from gaining political power. Then we should go to work on the latter.

  2. The REAL lottery is for IF you die after taking the shot. Over 4000 people have already died from the vaccine. And that is NOT going to be the end.
So you win the lottery for MONEY and are TOO DEAD to collect it.

  3. Doctors and Virologist’s and scientists in California decided to test 15000 so called positive swab tests and different Universities NOT ONE WAS COVID. ALL HAD OLD BACTERIA FROM FLU. HOW MUCH IS THE CCP PAYING NEWSOME TO DESTROY CALIFORNIA? They were testing at higher cycles that show old bacteria. And this has been the scam World Wide Time for all involved to be locked up and let us live

  4. He can kiss my a–! I won’t get the vaccine unless they tie me down and force it. It’s all part of the “Great Reset” and population control (reduction) Next fall, when it is flu season again, and people start dropping like flies, they’ll say it is a new ‘variant.’ Then they’ll scare people into getting another shot! Search Agenda 21, Agenda 30, and the Great Reset and see for yourself what the elite have in store for us “useless eaters.”

  5. And who are the people who are paying the money that is being given to the lottery winners? You and I and all of the LEGAL citizens of the State of California, that’s who!!
