Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R) announced to the world that his state would never participate in a nationwide coronavirus lockdown should presumptive President-elect Joe Biden declare one if he’s sworn in.
Reeves’ comments come as blue states like Oregon and New Mexico have imposed new Covid-19 restrictions.
WLBT-TV has more on the conservative governor’s press conference:
“We are not going to participate in a nationwide lockdown,” he said, adding that closing the economy for six weeks would be “totally and completely beyond reasonableness.”
He went on to say that he hopes to work with the next president, whoever that is, in other ways to help prevent the spread of the virus.
According to a Nov. 11 report from CNBC, members of Biden’s COVID-19 advisory team say shutting down businesses for four to six weeks to help drive down the number of new cases.
Reeves, though, said the residents in the Magnolia State cannot shut down their restaurants, gyms or other businesses for the next six weeks, “come back and flip a switch, and everything will be fine,” he said. “That’s not how the economy works.”

I agree the virus is in fact here and real, however a cousin of ours went in to be tested and sat around for 3 hours waiting. He decided to go home without recieving one. Within days he recieved a letter in the mail stating that he in fact tested positive even though he never took the damn thing. The more numbers of cases and deaths due to corona the more money the hospitals recieve. This is total BS!!!! More lies upon lies upon lies….

Biden is an idiot. The government in Melbourne Australia locked down for most of 2020 and kept the number of cases extremely low, almost non-existent. This totally destroyed their economy but did prevent the spread of COVID-19. They recently began opening up their businesses and guess what; the virus began to spread everywhere because being completely locked down did not enable herd immunity to take effect. They are back to square one.
Now let us consider Sweden. This country did not lock down at all; no business closures, no school closures, no national mask mandates, etc. The government recommended masks, cleaning hands, cleaning surfaces, and social distancing when in groups and precautions for nursing home residents and people with health issues but nothing extreme. They let herd immunity take effect and as a country did not experience any more deaths proportionally per population than the USA. They used common sense and their economy was not destroyed. The lockdown idea only postpones the virus while destroying the economy; so Biden’s 4-6 month lockdown will just ruin more businesses and cause more job losses. Then when or if he opens up the economy the virus will begin to spread again until we reach herd immunity. This is a virus just like the flu. I seriously doubt we will ever completely eradicate COVID-19 even if the pharmaceutical industry does manufacture a vaccine, so as a society we need to accept that this is simply another risk of life. We need to go on with life, use therapeutics and any vaccines that are manufactured as needed and live life; go to work, go to church, go to sporting events, movies, restaurants, vote in person, etc. Biden’s solution will only extend the virus and cause economic misery.

The 2020 election was a complete sham, and voter audits are necessary nationwide…and get voting machines and computers the hell out of US elections….Paper ballots are tangible and can be re-read over and over….electronic records can instantly disappear or be altered without leaving any record…
the cases are going up because the govt. is testing every body they can with a amplification test that guarantees a positive result with 30 to 60 amplifications’ and it will test pos. And it gives false positives with lower amplifications, if you have had a simple cold. it will read positive. the test does not diagnose it only amplifies what they are looking at. this was stated by the doctor who created the pcr test DA. how come we went from deaths to cases DA… Americans had better wake up and do some serious critical thinking!
