In the wake of a new United Nations plan for member nations to declare “climate emergencies” and declare sweeping powers over its citizens, lawmakers in the United States are scrambling to stop any plans by President Joe Biden to seize such national emergency powers.
U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, and colleagues in both the Senate and House have re-introduced the Real Emergencies Act, which they report will “clarify that the president does not have the authority to declare a national emergency on the premise of climate change.”
The Real Emergencies Act would “prohibit the president from using the three primary statutory authorities available (the National Emergencies Act, the Stafford Act, and section 319 of the Public Health Service Act) to declare a national emergency solely on the basis of climate change. Actual national emergencies or major disasters (hurricanes, flooding, etc.) may still be declared,” Capito reports.
“The Biden administration has repeatedly governed by executive overreach when it comes to energy and environmental regulations, ignoring the law and doing so without congressional approval,” Capito says
“These regulations have made us less energy independent, led to higher prices for consumers, and created uncertainty for employers and workers across the country,” Capito adds.
The Real Emergencies Act would ensure the president cannot go further by declaring a national emergency, which would grant him more executive authority and grow the size of government all in the name of climate change,” Capito concludes.
Cosponsors of the Real Emergencies Act include U.S. Senators John Barasso (R-Wyo.), John Boozman (R-Ark.), Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), John Hoeven (R- N.D.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), and Roger Wicker (R- Miss.).
“Instead of advancing commonsense solutions to increase American-made energy to ease their pain, they are doubling down on a radical agenda that will make it harder for everyday Americans to afford to put food on their tables. This legislation will restrict the president from further damaging the economy and skirting congressional approval,” Boozman says.
A companion bill has been introduced in the House of Representatives by U.S. Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas-11).
“President Biden and his radical administration are working around the clock to destroy American-made reliable energy sources. I am proud to join Senator Capito in introducing the Real Emergencies Act, which will prevent the White House from distracting from real emergencies – like skyrocketing inflation and record-high energy costs – by declaring climate change a national emergency. Our legislation ensures that President Biden does not abuse the power of his office to pursue his anti-American energy agenda against the will of the American people,” Pfluger says.
The UN has absolutely no authority or power within any member nation. Any thought to the contrary represents an attack on our Constitution and citizens.

It is absurd that these dishonest leftists would attack and make such egregious false claims about the TWO VERY MOST IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL MOLECULES TO THE FORMATION AND EXISTENCE OF LIFE on Earth: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Water (H2O) in gaseous state is the very most important Greenhouse Gas (GHG) at 95% of all GHGs and CO2 only 4% and a mere 1% for Methane (i.e., “Cow Farts”) and all the other GHGs.
· Most 5th Graders already know that Photosynthesis Requires both CO2 & Water (H2O) to live and grow while emitting the atmospheric Oxygen (O2) that everyone needs to breath
(by the way, Most the Oxygen in the Atmosphere came from Plants and is continually replenished by the currently at 21% of our atmosphere).
· Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which is:
o Is the basis “building block” of All Animal and Plant Live (including Humans) which are all Carbon Structures (i.e., All living things are made of Carbon).
o Atmospheric CO2 is Essential Plant Food / Fertilizer of which the Earth is currently CO2-Starved.
o Currently Atmospheric CO2 is considered both a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and a Trace Atmospheric Gas at the very low level of ~400 ppm (e.g., recently 410-420 ppm). PPM- Stands for Parts-per-Million parts or simply molecules of gas.
o Scientists know our CO2 levels are currently very DANGEROUSLY – LOW, since CO2 levels below 150 ppm will cause ALL PLANT LIFE to die and become EXTINCT.
o Increasing CO2 levels to previously safe level of 3-4 times (e.g., 1000 – 2000 ppm ) would be much better for increased GREENING of our planet and Much Higher Crop Yields to feed our hungry population now reaching 8 billion without having any measurable or significant of the Earth’s climate temperatures – Despite the Fake MSM News and Global Warming Alarmist Claims!
· Water (H2O), the Miracle Molecule that is absolutely essential to All Life:
o Water Vapor (H2O in a Gaseous State) is the Very Most Important Greenhouse Gas that has the Very Most Impact on the Greenhouse Effect and our Climate (i.e., about 605% to 85% for Water Vapor and only 9% to 26% for CO2 and all the rest of the GHGs
o It makes you WONDER WHY THE GW-ALARMISTS NEVER MENTION IT!
I can only assume that Water Vapor (H2O) is not SCARY ENOUGH to Get Votes and Waste Money on Non-Essential and Inefficient Renewable Energy which is the Most Expensive & Highly-Government Subsidized (75% to 85%, even 100%) that has the very shortest lifecycle of around 20 years of any Energy Source, plus requires 100% 24/7 Fossil Fuel, Nuclear or Geophysical Energy as operating backup!
