Former President Trump may be refusing to participate in any Republican primary debates, sending ripples through the political landscape as competitors prepare to face off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Trump’s Deciding NOT to Debate?

Former President Donald Trump has declared his apparent intention to not be taking part in the upcoming three Republican primary debates. This includes the first debate, which was already believed to be a debate Trump would be skipping due to his commanding lead in the polls. Despite his lead in poll figures, he is looking to be opting out of all three pre-election GOP primary debates.

“New CBS POLL, just out, has me leading the field by “legendary” numbers. TRUMP 62%, 46 Points above DeSanctimonious (who is crashing like an ailing bird!), Ramaswamy 7%, Pence 5%, Scott 3%, Haley 2%, Sloppy Chris Christie 2%, “Aida” Hutchinson 1%. The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”

The First Republican Debate

Scheduled to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this Wednesday, the first debate in the 2024 Republican presidential nomination race will include prominent figures like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Though some of Trump’s competitors were indifferent about his absence, others emphasized their readiness to take the stage regardless of his participation.

The Field of Candidates

In addition to DeSantis, contenders like entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former Vice President Mike Pence are slated to participate in the debates. It is anticipated that figures like Pence and former Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie will likely direct consistent criticisms toward Trump. Nevertheless, Trump’s absence from the debates could disrupt the plans of never-Trump long-shot candidates, such as Chris Christie, Mike Pence, and Asa Hutchinson.
