California Governor Gavin Newsom will take a prominent role at the upcoming Republican presidential primary debate in Simi Valley. He is set to lead the charge in addressing any inaccurate statements and highlighting potential radical stances that may arise during the discussions, as outlined by Joe Biden’s campaign. Joining him will be Julie Chavez Rodriguez, who manages the Biden-Harris campaign, and Jaime Harrison, the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

The question arises: Why has the Biden team chosen to have Newsom represent them at the debate?

The Biden team, in a statement released as part of their strategic approach, stated:

“You can expect the Biden campaign and our allies to point out the stark contrast between Bidenomics and the extreme MAGAnomics policies we’ll hear on the debate stage,”

“The timing of next week’s debate, as MAGA Republicans are willing to shut down the government unless Donald Trump gets his way, shines a brighter spotlight on economic impacts of the extreme MAGAnomics agenda. On the debate stage, Republicans will have to answer whether they’re on the side of the MAGA shutdown or with the American people,”

This midweek debate, hosted on the Fox Business Network, is anticipated to center largely around the GOP’s financial strategies. Even though former President Trump will not be making an appearance, as he did not in the August debate, Team Biden expects Trumpian policies to be a significant topic of discussion.

This comes as the Biden team has vigorously promoted “Bidenomics” as a signal that the economy is performing better than many perceive it to be. However, it appears that a significant portion of the public remains skeptical of the Biden campaign’s efforts, as confidence in Biden’s economic policies among voters continues to register at notably low levels.

  1. Oh please, not Newsom. We in California need his leadership. He was Mayor of San Fracisco, and look at it now. He’s already one step farther that he should be. Keep Biden in the race. If this 2024 election is handled like the last, he’ll win in a landslide (would it help if I added a “snicker”?)

  2. I’m sorry. But, why would democRATS be attending a Republican debate? I believe the authors is ill and medication is a bit off. None of the individuals listed would also never go. An the President would never direct an individual or a democRAT. This article makes no sense and shows the lack of quality in journalism.
