The Respect for Marriage Act, a measure proposed in an attempt to codify same-sex marriage into federal law passes the Senate by a margin of 61 to 36. 12 Republicans in total supported the bill.

The measure will now move onto the U.S. House of Representatives. In the final days of the Democrats controlling the House, the measure is expected to pass the House with no concern.

Same-sex marriage, which has been legal since June, 2015, has been rarely up for debate since it became legal federally. Since the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, all states have been required to honor out-of-state marriages, effectively striking down all bans on same-sex marriage at a time when it was considered a decision better left to individual states to make.

While the measure provides a level of security for the rights of the LGBTQ community, this move by a Democrat-controlled House and Senate is largely being seen as an attempt to save face for future elections; as Democrats never codified Roe V. Wade into law before the Supreme Court decision was revered in 2022. This move also comes days before Republicans take control of the House, along with the possibility of a 50-50 Senate.

Sorry to say, but the authority on what is a marriage will not honor such legislation nor the peoples that endorse it. There will be consequences from HIM.

I agree. I have also done some research on the origins of the word marriage, it comes from german, but the german word comes from the Latin “Maritatre” which is a latin slang used to make fun of men in roman times, the actual latin word is Maritax, Mar meaning Mother, i meaning And, and Tax meaning Contract. Mother and Contract, instead of Mother and no contract.

It’s clear the democrats are illiterate and lacking education. as there is no Mother in a same sex partner contract.

the contract in roman times was practically a legal requirement for child-support if it could be proven it was your kid. On the man’s side the contract ensured that he wouldn’t be raising someone else’s kid(s). This was Marriage in Roman law. so it’s about biological children, and Fiends dont have biological children with their partners. it’s impossible. so legally if just by the meaning of the word, marriage can only be between a man and a woman when a biological child of both is going to be invloved.

And this is what we are paying Congress to do..while other issues are still pending like gasoline prices, food prices, etc. Well we throw that aside and go for gay marriage which goes against nature to begin with. Why are we paying these people to waste our time and money and get no issues that are hurting the citizens resolved.
