A trust linked to California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s family has donated thousands of dollars to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis amid the two governors’ political feud. According to Fox News, the Siebel Family Revocable Trust, which is run by Kenneth Siebel Jr. and Judith Siebel, Newsom’s wife’s parents, gave $5,000 to the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC in early April.

As The Daily Wire reports:

The Siebel family has a history of making donations to Republican candidates, including Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Josh Hawley (R-MO).

The revelation comes as Newsom’s re-election campaign bought approximately $105,000 in cable television ads that aired on Fox News in Florida last month claiming that freedom was under attack in the Sunshine State.

“Freedom is under attack in your state,” Newsom claimed in the ad. “I urge all of you to join the fight, or join us in California, where we still believe in freedom. Don’t let them take your freedom.”

DeSantis responded to the attack ads during a press conference held shortly after they aired, noting the number of people leaving California to relocate to Florida.

and freedom is alive and well in California? yes ‘bad to the bone people’ have more freedom than tax payers. …who pay for safe cities and streets , and good schools. But, we get rubbish from the government and school union officials. Now Biden wants to help fund policemen.? After watching our historic American Statues being torn down with no recriminations? Downtowns being destroyed in “Sanctuary cities’ , Children being offered rainbow colored, candy looking fentanyl pills. O yes this governor …who hopes to live in The White House, is just a gem.
