Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has now reportedly overtaken former President Trump when it comes to the all important category of fundraising.

As The Daily Caller reports:

Trump raked in approximately $36 million during the first six months of the year through online donations, a $20 million dollar decline compared to the same period during 2021, Newsweek reported. During the first quarter of the year, Trump brought in about $17 million.

Meanwhile DeSantis, who is running for re-election, has raised roughly $45 million during the first half of 2022, Newsweek reported.

Republican strategist Mike DuHaime told Reuters the lag in fundraising could be because voters are tired of Trump.

“There is definitely Trump fatigue,” DuHaime said, according to the outlet. “Donors care about future elections, not past elections.”

Are voters really tired of Trump, or is the reality a bit more complicated? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

  1. Newsmax overtakes American action news, in recent polls, DeSantis said he’s not interested in anything other than being Governor again, stop trying to run down Trump

    1. I’m still holding out hope that he’ll be Trump’s Vice-President when the time comes. VICE PRESIDENT. President can come 4 years later

  2. Of course NOT! It is the media such as yourself and especially FNC, that brings up this kind of storyline, the reason simply is because of … TIMING! THE GENERAL ELECTION IS OVER TWO YEARS AWAY! Is the money for DeSantis for the General Election for the President of the United States? NO, it is for his reelection as Governor for Florida. Please don’t make reports that are click bait. AND FNC IS A WASTE OF A NEWS OUTLET, I REFUSE TO WATCH THAT GARBAGE OF A CHANNEL.

  3. Governor DeSantis would make a great president! But, President Trump has EARNED my vote! TRUMP/ DESANTIS 2024! DESANTIS 2028!

  4. I voted for Trump twice. With that said, we need to move on to someone new to carry the torch. This country can not afford another 4 years of being run by Socialists. Trump running again will get the far left out in huge numbers. DeSantis, Cruz, Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, we have some great people who would make great presidents.

  5. I’m not tired of Trump, I’m just tired of giving. I also like DeSantis but understand that the Corporate Big Money Boys are what blew up his contributions. We need both of these patriots & should ignore the attempts to divide us.The elites & Never Trumpers will never change however we will never stop supporting our true leader !

  6. We KNOW trump can get things done; we HOPE DeSantis could. Trump’s kids are all grown. Would DeSantis let HIS kids be constantly harassed?

  7. This is good news. DeSantis would make a much stronger candidate for President. As much as I liked what President Trump did in office, he now has too much baggage that the media will use against him. Trump has had his time and should give it up for the good of the Country. DeSantis will build on what Trump started.

  8. DeSantis is a good Governor but he will never have my vote or my friends. He will never beat Donald Trump

  9. DeSantis is raising money for Governor. Trump is raising money for the GOP, doing rallies all over the place to get people elected. If Trump did announce he was running, look at the metrics then.

  10. LISTEN UP….GOD Chose PREZ TRUMP to be PRESIDENT of the U.S. The DARK CLOUD Still LOOMS Over the WHITE HOUSE. The CLOUD will be LIFTED when TRUMP gets HIS JOB Back. From SamuraiQueen. 😄😄😄😇😇😇😉😉😉

  11. Dumping this news source. It’s phony. We all know Trump IS our President. He won and we want him back !!!
Any conservative publisher who doesn’t get it, they are wasting are time

  12. Trump can’t win. He’s too old, arrogant, and conceited. He should give it up and pass it on to someone like De Santis.

  13. I voted for Trump twice, and yes….I’m tired of him. Time for him to talk to his still considerable core of voters and steer them in another direction.

  14. Why do you try to create division between two leaders who believe in the freedom of choice given us, We the people, in our constitution? Are you trying to promote the views and power of the other side using the divide and conquer strategy?

  15. Trump is a self-serving bombastic oligarch who panders to the rich & powerful and has no concern for the poor

  16. I believe De Santis will rise fast, but 2024 is Trump time to finish his agenda. Now and future is important but lesson from the past is critical in moving forward. If we don’t learn from past failure then it will repeat again. Damage done by 2020 is so drastic, I hope we need to learn that carefully.

  17. Some people like me really like Ron Desantis however we need Trump a
business man and if he wants Ron as VP and run after that to those
demoncrats out of office for a long time FYI there is no Trump fatigue.

  18. Hey give the guy a break…the election for President is over 2 years away!!!! Ron’s election
is much sooner!!! But just keep in mind a great ticket would be …..to Run Don & Ron for
    Pres & V P 2024 !!!!!

  19. He had his chance and although he had good policies, and did some good things, it’s time for him to move on. We need to get some new and younger candidates. After listening to Trump in Alaska I’m tired of his rhetoric; it’s exhausting!

  20. Donald Trump is offcially not yet running for 2024. DeSantis is now running for reelection as governor in 2022. That makes a big difference. And a number of other top candidates will pop up after November 2022. Of course DeSantis would love to be Potus. This is the usual media hype and narrating to sell advertising. Nothing has any importance until 2023 rolls around and we can see what is real world and not.
