Controversy is now rocking the conservative world after porn star Brandi Love was kicked out of Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA even after she was initially welcomed in as a V.I.P to the event.
As Newsweek reports:
Brandi Love, a porn star who identifies as a conservative, was initially welcomed as a VIP at a Florida event by right-wing group Turning Point USA this weekend, but then was abruptly banned from the event by Christian conservatives.
The Tampa event by Turning Point USA (TPUSA), an organization that advocates for conservative values on high school and college campuses, started on Saturday and is scheduled to run until Tuesday. Love initially showed up at the Tampa Convention Center this weekend, posting an enthusiastic photo of herself to Twitter with the caption, “It’s good to be around so many young conservatives. Gives me some hope!”

Love’s expulsion caused an eruption of finger-pointing and debate among attendees and observers alike with some decrying the decision to ban love while others applauded it. Ben Domenech, the husband of Meghan McCain spoke out in defense of Love:

Wrong decision. People in porn movies are generally doing to their co-stars what politicians are doing to us. The only difference is that porn actresses are more honest about what they’re doing.
I am concerned that she was banned after she was to be part of the program. They should have known her profession before having her as part of the program. She was there to promote conservative politics not her lifestyle. I think they caused more harm to their cause than helping it. If she was not promoting or showing her work what difference did it make if she was a speaker. Conservatives need to be more understanding and forgiving if we are ever going to get this mess we are in straightened out.

I agree that inviting and dis-inviting was wrong, HOWEVER if I had minor kids in the event, I would take them out of the event because her presence implies to them that her lifestyle/occupation is acceptable.

It seems the gray area in this situation is based on morality! How convenient for those who strive for power and control.. I have always considered the Conservative party to be a mostly Christian, or Believers oriented organization. That is the first definition of being Conservative, as in, Moderation in all things, believing in a higher power, family unity, marriage between 1 man & 1 woman, etc. Over the years it has gotten stretched a bit but still the core is about doing What is Right Because it is Right & that all should be Treated equally, Not Equal outcomes. Conservatism has always embraced the Constitution & it should as this is the document, the very ideas, that this country was founded upon! I had never heard of TPUSA. Based on all the bickering about Christian or un-chrisitan values in the comments, I figured it was a Christian organization and looked it up. Their mission statement is to promote “fiscal responsibility, free market, and limited government.” Nothing I could find was about Christian values. So why have the Christians taken it over?
I consider those to be Christian values.
IF this were billed as a strictly Christian gathering, then, by all means, ban anyone you want to if you think they do not reflect your values as a Christian (mind you, a substantial segment of Christians believe that Mary Magdalene, perhaps the most loyal and one of the most favored of Jesus’ followers was a prostitute, so maybe these Christians could examine their faith first). However, if this is billed as a CONSERVATIVE event, then no religion (or version thereof) has the right to decide that another conservative doesn’t deserve the same recognition and respect, just because he/she makes their living in a manner not approved by that particular sect. I mean, c’mon, folks, for awhile, I made my living killing (and training to kill) my fellow man, but nobody suggested that I couldn’t be a good conservative just because of that. Indeed, some of them even thought I was a better conservative by reason of my uniform and avocation.

Unless you are claiming to be and are perfect, then you have no biblical right to cast out or shun the sinner! For you are sinning to do so!!!
Any person may repent every day or night! Or 50 times a day! That is between them and God and not any of our business! And again, not for another person to judge!!!

Perversion is sin. No need to separate it! No, I don’t condone sin! But I am not going to shun or condemn a person because of sin. Repentant or not! That is up to God, not me! If you shun/condemn every person that may have un-repented sins you would be hard pressed to find anyone that you can be around!
If this this woman is speaking conservative language on a conservative platform like she was asked to do then any sins she holds is not for me or you judge! If she were performing any type of sins in front of the children that would be totally different! Her existence is not a sin!
And yes, if a drug addict was speaking conservative views on a conservative platform, I would be fine with that too! That doesn’t mean I condone drug addiction!
If anyone so chooses to be the sin police and shunner/condemner, that is totally up to them! I understand my place with God and I do my very best not to act like I should be doing his job for him! Sure we can certainly advocate and speak the word of God but it is up to every individual to take what is preached and apply it to there own lives.

I am a conservative, christian, Republican Voter, I choose not to watch her “video’s” what she does is irrelevant to me…..her viewpoint is relevant to me…..And Old Dog is correct, what she does is very much akin to what our politicians ( NO they are not representatives in Many cases) are doing to us Daily, Except they don’t use Lube…..
So were they going to introduce her as a porn star or as a conservative with views & concerns about our country? As a Christian I have to say its the wrong decision. Yes conservative values are generally Christian values but are they going to ensure that no one who shows up is cheating on their spouse or that no couples are living together without being married. What about telling lies or stealing just how far does it go. If Jesus had excluded sinners from following him he would have been alone.
Also who knew she was a porn star and how did they now it. I didn’t see her promoting her job or films in any way. I think if she had done that than justified in asking her to leave.

United, we stand, divided we fall. I was at the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Phoenix in ‘08 where members of the Pink Pistols were present. We were all there for one purpose and that was to fight for 2A, regardless of beliefs in other areas. While this has nothing to do with TPUSA, the principle is the same. The last thing we need is to fracture our side and hand our enemies on the left a victory.
Well, after reading most of the posts so far, I’ve concluded that we have a commonsense problem here. TPUSA is for the most part high school kids with some college Frosh thrown in. Being the case, commonsense would tell the organizers that they should be cognizant of who the attendees are and that guests, especially high-profile guests should be audience age appropriate. If this were an all-adult event 21+, then Love is an appropriate guest. We must remember Conservatives come from all ilk and should be welcomed under the conservative umbrella. So, Miss Love should not have been invited in the first place and her feelings would not have been hurt nor would she have felt ostracized. Parents would not be upset. Guys, put your thinking caps on and be forward thinkers.
So Matt and Jenna’s voice is not for freedom of speech, but only the values they deem to be acceptable? And kids being there is the issue? Unless she is filming there I don’t see how that is the standard.
