Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks
The de facto speaker for Great Britain’s Jewish community, Sacks unapologetically stood for faith and religious freedom. Sacks had an inclusive message imbued with charisma, a winning combination that warded off declining church attendance. Following his death from cancer, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson remarked on Sacks’ “profound impact on our whole country and across the world,” a testament to the theologian’s impact on Jews and Gentiles alike.
