Harries, a longtime editor at The National Interest, one of the world’s foremost foreign policy periodicals, helped mold the Republican Party’s views on diplomacy in the late 20th/early 21st century. Political scientist Francis Fukuyama’s essay about “The End of History” in the magazine after the Iron Curtain’s fall popularized the idea that democratic governments and free-market capitalism represented the pinnacle of sociocultural evolution.

As I recall, Herman Cain had several health issues, which were the underlying (if not primary) contribution to his death. The “plannedemic” was a new arrival.
