With Michael Bloomberg pledging to spend as much as $1 billion to support whoever wins the Democrat nomination and frontrunner Bernie Sanders commanding an army of passionate volunteers, Democrats should be feeling good about their chances against President Donald Trump.

The rest of America isn’t feeling it.

A new CBS News-YouGov poll finds voters believe Trump will win re-election, and it isn’t even close.

The poll finds 65 percent of voters say Trump will “definitely” or “probably” be re-elected, while just 35 percent say he will “definitely not” or “probably not” win.

Those numbers are even more surprising giving polling shows Trump’s approval rating routinely stuck below 50 percent.

The culprit could be the weak Democrat field.  More than a third of Democrats say Trump will probably or definitely be re-elected. Only 49 percent say former Vice President Joe Biden can beat him and 46 percent believe socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders can defeat Trump.

Though the same poll shows Trump narrowly losing to Biden or Sanders in the national popular vote, voters seem to believe anyone the Democrats nominate will find a way to blow the election, either through their failure to win enough small to mid-sized states to claim the Electoral College or through Biden’s lethargic bumbling or Sanders’ extremist socialism.
