Knox County Sheriff says they were called to Pilot station off Strawberry Plains Pike around 6:54am for reports of someone stabbing another person at the Pilot. Three people were murdered and another was injured by a truck driver Idris Abdus-Salaam at a Pilot truck stop in Knoxville, Tennessee on April 7. Abdus-Salaam targeted only women on his rampage, which began when he followed the manager into the women’s bathroom and stabbed her to death 11 times. He stabbed three more women on the way out of the store before an employee tried to run him down with a car in the parking lot. Though he was hit twice, Abdus-Salaam kept getting up and tried to attack the first responding police officer, who shot him five times at close range.
