The left’s cancel culture is overflowing with hypocrisy. Progressives are trying to rid America of historical figures faster than the Taliban in Afghanistan circa 2000.
No one is safe from the woke mob, and yet they refuse to point their supposed high-powered perception at themselves. While it’s not fair to expect more from historical illiterates, it’s our solemn obligation to shine a light on their movement’s hypocrisy.
Share this list far and wide to show Republicans, independents, and culturally conservative Democrats the insanity behind the leftist ideology. Never forget, this is Joe Biden’s Democrat Party!
Despite its contemporary status as a hotbed for liberal thought, Rice University has a problematic history starting with its slave-owning founder William Marsh Rice.
FYI: I’m not stopping until justice is done. @RiceUniversity has until next week to remove this statue of racist founder William M. Rice from its campus. Or we will march on Rice. Rice believed that school should be “for whites only”. Not in my America. ✊? #CancelRice pic.twitter.com/jAqXltoszY

On the eve of the Civil War, Rice’s entire property included 15,000 slaves.
Rice left the bulk of his estate to establish a university on the condition that it was only for whites.
Kelly’s tweets may have sounded a clarion call to eradicate Rice’s presence from his university.
As they should. William M. Rice said Rice should be “for whites only”. There’s still a statue of him on campus. That statue MUST come down and @RiceUniversity should be for black people only from now on. It’s the only way to make this right. #CancelRice https://t.co/RhxzUwXB8L

One of America’s most prestigious universities, Yale has a problematic history starting with the benefactor who gave it its name, Elihu Yale. An American born British merchant, Yale made his fortune from the slave trade.
“The total number of African deaths directly attributable to the Middle Passage voyage is estimated at up to two million.”@Yale was endowed with money made from the blood and pain of black men. That fund has grown to >$30 billion. #CancelYale

During his employment with the East Indian Company, Yale had a reputation for treating indigenous people savagely, being the judge, jury, and executioner for locals living near the company’s post in Chennai, India. On one occasion, he hung a servant boy for allegedly riding off with a company horse.
Yale’s student body — which booed George W. Bush at the 2004 graduation of his daughter, Barbara — haven’t expressed much, if any, remorse over their university’s continued worship of Elihu Yale.
ATTENTION: The @Yale Center for British Art is currently displaying this painting of Elihu Yale, prominent slave trader. Yale hates black people and thinks they should be traded as commodities. #CancelYale pic.twitter.com/sYa2AvvI0u

College of William & Mary
Another prestigious university has an inconvenient past. William III of England founded the College of William & Mary in 1693, making it the second-oldest collegiate institution in the United States.
However, King William profited handsomely off of the Royal African Company, a mercantile trading company that shipped more slaves to the Americas than any other institution in the three centuries of the Atlantic slave trade.
I stand with @JesseKellyDC.
My own undergrad, @williamandmary, is named after William the 3rd…who profitted off shares of slave trading Royal African Company, which STARTED Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Liberal logic doesn’t differentiate between people who commit atrocities and those who have indirect ties to systemic racism through no fault of their own. Why should we limit ourselves when owning them?
Ted Turner, the founder of CNN, attended Brown University. The Ivy League school imposes a collectivist ideology on its students, but no matter how hard it tries to act woke, it can’t erase its bigoted past.
