Pro-Trump Fox News host Tucker Carlson opened his Tuesday show with a monologue critical of President Trump’s immigration executive order for not going far enough.
Per Mediaite:
Carlson said Trump’s announcement has been something Americans have been demanding and that “there’s no question the president has the authority to do what he has done.”
“Why in the middle of a disaster would you make things worse? Why would you hurt your own people when they’re already hurting?”
He mocked people like Madeleine Albright and Beto O’Rourke for their criticisms of the president’s message, saying, “As the country falls apart around him, Beto’s first and main concern is preserving America’s sacred caste system. The native-born working on farms? In kitchens? In factories? Sacre bleu! screeched Beto. It is unnatural! Unthinkable! It is wrong! We must have a compliant underclass! We must!”
However, Carlson added that Beto — in his opinion — need not worry.
“The new moratorium on immigration will last for 60 days, at which point it could be extended, or it may not be extended. The ban will apply only to individuals seeking permanent residency in this country — in other words, people who like the United States enough to stay permanently, and would like green cards to be able to do it legally. But the ban will not apply to those entering the United States on a temporary basis. That means it will not affect guest workers. That’s an awful lot of exceptions.”

I agree with Tucker. Trump should just say no more immigration until our country has full employment, businesses are up and stock market back to pre virus levels.

I don’t agree with Tucker. The problem is —- it really does not matter whether they are temporary or permanent. The truth is they WILL all stay here if they possibly can. And that is not good for America or Americans. I don’t care what the traitorous CHAMBER OF COMMERCE says. The fact is we have plenty of workers in America. We don’t need to import more. The ONLY real desire of big business is for cheaper labor. And THAT is why they push for more green cards and more temporary and permanent immigrants.

totally agree!!! Stop all immigration so we dont have to worry about the virus starting up again! There are already hotels and motels and all other tourist areas in New Jersey announcing they wont be opening up for the 2020 season.Which means all of us that live in these areas are not going to be working!!! Here in the part of N.J. i live in only has a lot of work during the summer seasons!Many of us have ot servive on unemployment all winter while working the 5months or so in the summer season.Im one of the lucky ones that is a construction worker which means we mostly work in the off season.Still working in summers as well but this will mean no work for any part of our season!!?!! That being said I’m a conservative and own a small business that has been shut down due to C-19. I applied for SBA Disaster Relief loan and PPP. They ran out of money. Want to know why? Because most of the money, billions went to big businesses. Shake Shack got 10 million and was called out on it so they returned it.

Let’s just stop. I just about died when I saw Chinese immigrants POURING into JFK airport terminals in February. They marched in, wearing masks and ready for whatever adventure awaited them. The time has come to stop immigration until our country is able to sustain itself financially and in good health.
Immigration is a fine idea, when the work force is at full blast. Mexico is seeing covid-19 cases. Mr.President, if you want to reopen the borders, it’s fine, just keep in mind, that no one can enter the USA if they are infected.
We like to eat. There is no one to bring in crops unless it is migrant workers and Americans don’t like that kind of work!
There are already enough migrant workers here now to bring in crops. Where I live, I see them everywhere.
What do think every small farmer is doing every day of the year for you – it is not the conglomerates who suffer, it is the small family farms which are fewer and fewer because of regulation and fools like you who think that illegal immigration is going to work. Surprise illegal immigrants get more than seniors, more than the troops, more than anyone and then think they do not have to do a thing.
Plus, here is a huge problem for us and the farmers: all of the food processing plants are shut down.
Farmers are having to dump milk. Vegetables need to be packaged or frozen or canned. The left has been undermining cattle ranchers for a while. Now they have no way to get their product to market. This might be the last straw for many ranchers.
The question is: even if migrant workers are banned from coming here to pick crops & do the things migrant workers tend to do, will Americans, even unemployed Americans show up to take those jobs? The Democrats snookered the GOP by getting that $600/wk unemployment benefits added to their regular unemployment compensation in Phase 3. Why would anyone give up that amt of money to go into the fields or other manual labor jobs for far less of a paycheck? Would you? In order to get the Dems to sign into the PPP plan , McConnell caved . This $600 extra comp pretty much destroys the momentum for folks to take a job, ANY job to put food on the table! Think about it… this is the ultimate goal of the Left! Socialism & a total dependence upon Big Govt! Now w Phase 3.5 about to be approved, Dems are crowing that they got the extra money ( for Hosp. States & testing) that the stingy GOP would not allow. Fact: those items along with infrastructure (something the left promised to work w Trump on over 2 yrs ago, but never did) were to be part of Phase 4. Another fact: the money Hosp were to get in phase 1&2 has yet to be utilized, but Dems insisted they needed more now! Phase 3 should of had an automatic renewal of funds if found necessary! NO NEED FOR A NEW BILL! No need for endless negotiating! The Democrats and Republicans are not working for the American people. Every time they need money they want to start with taking money away from the Social Security and Medicare. As far as I am concerned is that the people that are put in Washington DC to represent as are all working against us. No matter what Trump does he will be criticized. He needs to turn most of the press briefings over to Pence, while he conducts business behind the scenes. That will drive the so called News reporters bonkers. They attack Pence and folks will say, see, they are just against the Republicans, and American Patriots in general. They should also start a poll rating the press as to who are the fairest, and who are out right liars, and trouble makers. Each day have the poll, and display it at the beginning of the next meeting for all the world to see.
If I remember correctly there was an order put out in Feb. or Mar. to completely close the border to prevent anyone coming in that might have the virus. Even at the Canadian side it was done by US and Canada.
