Late-night talk show host Bill Maher, host of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” commented on the classified document controversy President Biden is dealing with in a way his left-wing fans may not enjoy. Maher, a Democrat, has been a right-wing token of sorts in recent years, even going as far as to appear for a sit-down interview with Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro.
Maher has been at the center of controversy for his statements made in recent years, including segments about how being “woke” is cringeworthy, mocking how Democrats prefer when White people are self-hating. Maher has also had segments in the past about the ridiculousness of fat positivity, and has had on guests such as Jordan Peterson and Milo Yiannopoulos.
Perhaps Mahers most notable time he chose to not fall in line with Democrats is in 2022, when on his show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” he had a segment called “New Rule: Along for the Pride,” which dove head first into the issue of trans children. In the segment, Maher called this phenomenon a “trend,” and went on to say “we’re literally experimenting on children” adding, “either Ohio is shaming them, or California is creating them.”
Most recently, Maher called out President Biden’s situation with the classified documents. While this is something that most commentators would call out if they wanted to at least appear unbiased, most commentators in recent years have shown that sweeping Democrats’ controversies under the rug is no issue to them.
“This documents thing — now look, was Biden shady with the documents? Absolutely,” Maher said. “The fact that they found them before the midterm elections and they didn’t talk about it… ”
“Two months — OK, very shady,”
“I call shady on both sides. Now, of course, it was very different. When Trump got caught with documents, he said, ‘I’m not gonna turn them over.’ He didn’t cooperate. Biden cooperated. But the fact that Hunter Biden was in the house was all a conspiracy theorist needs to know.”
Biden has responded to the investigation and media coverage saying he has “no regrets” about the documents, adding the investigation “quite frankly bugs” him. Biden added, “We’re fully cooperating, looking forward to getting this resolved quickly… I think you’re gonna find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets. I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do — that’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no there, there.”
Bottom line; as President, Trump had legal right to have the documents and declare them declassified.
Joe had no legal right to the documents, and thus violated Federal Law,. Joe is subject to Federal prosecution; Trump, as President, is not subject to any prosecution.
Leftists need to get those facts through their thick skulls!
45. Did cooperate. They looked at those documents two weeks before they raided Mar-a-Lago.
Biden had these document since his Senate days! He had then, and as Vice President no powers to declassify the documents , so had NO right to have them.
The lame excuse that he ( Biden) is cooperating has NO bearing on the case at all! The fake media is trying to make that case for their master. The case is all about him having the documents in (unsafe and unguarded) locations, and not having the right to have them at all.
Biden should be brought up on charges everyone else has been for the same thing.
President Trump had the documents under lock and key with Secret Service there. The government knew about them and was in progess of talking to him. President Trump had the right to them, and the power to declassify them.
