A new poll is showing more bad news for Gavin Newsom as the upcoming recall attempt against him begins to draw ever closer.
As Jim Ellis of Ellis Insights notes:
A stark new poll was released for the September 14th California recall campaign, and the surprising results project Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) falling well behind in his battle to remain in office.
While several polls released in the last ten days showed a weakening of Mr. Newsom’s position, the new Survey USA data (8/2-4; 1,100 CA adults; 888 CA registered voters; 613 CA likely recall election voters; 545 CA voters who say they will answer the replacement candidate question; online) reveals a more extreme result.
Asked whether the sample of registered California voters would vote to recall the Governor, for the first time, a 51% majority, said they would. Those who support retaining him numbered only 40 percent.

The S-USA poll sees a potentially very serious problem for Mr. Newsom in the independent category. By a 50-33% majority, the non-affiliated respondents would vote to remove him from office. Should this finding prove accurate, Mr. Newsom would be in danger of losing his position.

I was born and raised in California when it was a Conservative State, when Governor Reagan was in charge and it flourished! Then later a bunch of Dems moved in and the Hollywood elites took over and that’s when that state started to die! We moved from Cali in 2005 to AZ and never looked back, but our grown kids are stuck there, owning businesses that are being sucked dry by Newsom! We are working on them to leave that state ASAP…and they are trying! It is so depressing and desperate and many people cannot just get up and leave! Here’s an “AHNOLD” anecdote. I regularly fished the American River at Discovery Park, where the Sacramento River meets the American. The media up to that point was ‘working’ our population to justify the installation of water meters in our city houses. They would constantly point to Folsom Lake as evidence of our drought, and admonish any skeptics that they were tin hat conspiracy freaks for doubting the severity of our water shortages. The American River flow was at a trickle, and lots of mud barred me from casting from the shore. Immediately after the last of the water meters were installed, that river rose by five feet.
I met Governor Davis. He was kinda stuck up. I was trying to convey a message to him after his helicopter landed at our base. He looked at me like I was dirt.
