The CDC has now released new guidelines on masks that mark an abrupt change from its previous stance.

According to the new guidelines released today Americans no longer need to wear masks, regardless of whether they are indoors or out, nor do they need to adhere to any social distancing regulations provided they are fully vaccinated.

As Fox News reports:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is set to ease indoor mask-wearing guidance for people who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, the Associated Press reported Thursday. According to the report, vaccinated people will now be able to stop wearing the masks while inside in most places.

Fully vaccinated individuals will reportedly still be advised to wear masks while in crowded indoor settings such as while on public transportation and in hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, the Associated Press reported.

The news marks one of the first substantive moves back toward normalcy since the pandemic began in the US in March of 2020.
