A violent mob of “Black Lives Matter” protesters launched an assault on a Christian church in Troy, New York in an effort to silence its criticism of liberal leaders.
Grace Baptist Church and pastor John Koletas were targeted for attack by liberals for raffling off an AR-15 and for sermons criticizing liberal leaders Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
Online video shows an unhinged liberal mob shrieking at children and punching churchgoers as black church leaders pleaded for peace. About a third of the church’s congregation are racial minorities.
But as liberal terrorism grows and a string of church burnings are cropping up across the country, Koletas is stepping up his activism.
“We are an old-fashioned hellfire and damnation church,” Koletas tells The Washington Times. “We’re not backing down, and we’re not apologizing.”
Liberal mobs insist the church is racist because it raffled off an AR-15 as a fundraiser and for a sermon in which Koletas said “blacks are cursed,” because he believes “we are all cursed” if we do not accept Christ.
Liberals have also flown into a violent rage over Koletas’ criticism of liberal leaders.
“Jesse Jackson is a liar; Al Sharpton is a liar,” he thunders in the online sermons. “Sadly, their leaders have destroyed them.”
Koletas isn’t letting the prospect of liberal domestic terrorism silence him.
“The mob is against free thought because it is full of Marxist theology and ideology,” he tells the Times. “We are all cursed — Greeks, Jews, Blacks, anyone. That’s just teaching a truth that’s not as widely taught as it used to be.”

Writer supports rabbis who are outspoken and politically active
I entered the Rabbinate to make a change in the world. As a holocaust survivors’ kid I wanted to make ‘never again’ a reality. For more than 41 years as a Rabbi, I have been outspoken on radio, TV the press, Facebook , my published books and the pulpit. Do I recommend that young rabbis and seminary graduates do this? My answer is absolutely ‘no.’ This is a recipe for being fired, being attacked in the press and having few friends. People consider you a loose cannon.
However, some of us are born with the desire to make changes and feel that politics is essential in the Rabbinate. Firing a rabbi who is excellent in the pulpit happens often for many reasons including a congregant or board who want him or her out for a political statement or action.
I pray for all of us rabbis who give our lives to our congregations and in the end get the shaft. I write this to give encouragement to rabbis who are outspoken and politically active. I am certain most will disagree with me and will state there should be separation between the pulpit and religion.
I am now retired and if I had to do it all over again, I would have tried to learn from my mistakes, however I would have remained outspoken. A special merit should go to all the rabbis’ wives and their families, and especially to those whose parents and spouses are outspoken.
