Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer has now made the decision to extend her state’s draconian lockdown measures until May 15th.
In the meantime many lawmakers in her state are now pushing back and launching a special session to review her lockdown decisions.
As Fox News reports:
The current order had been scheduled to expire next week, and is now being replaced by one that tightens some restrictions and loosens others.
The new order requires, rather than encourages, residents to wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces and says employers must provide coverings to their employees. But landscapers, lawn-service companies and bike repair shops will be allowed to resume operations, as long as they follow social distancing rules. Those selling nonessential supplies can reopen for curbside pickup and delivery.
But the order does not explicitly address the auto industry, an industry vital in places such as Detroit. It does, however, flag “transportation and logistics” and “critical manufacturing” as areas where some employees could return to work…
Meanwhile, the Republican-controlled legislature scheduled a special session later Friday to create an oversight committee that will review the orders — and could even strip her of her powers.

The Detroit Free Press has reported that the state senate will review the Governor’s emergency powers and consider changing the maximum allowable length of time the state has declared an emergency from 28 days down to 14.

Same BULLS**T here in California. Case in point: the head ass wipe, gavin ‘giveaway the store and everything for free’ newsom waffles, back and forth without a concrete plan in place and basically holds the people of California hstage. The states shutdown and has been since March 16th, many businesses, large and small are closed and many might not reopen when this is over leaving those unemployed by this pandemic with no jobs to go back to, the state’s unemployment website is down or crashes constantly due to the overwhelming amount of claims and these liberals take this with a grain of salt giving us the ‘finger’ behind their backs and telling us to ‘hang in there’. If this BULLS**T continues here, there’ll be anarchy for sure. Time for the people here in California to finally smarten up and get rid of newsom, feinstein and pigliosi using any and all means possible as these three have shown they don’t give a rats ass about California or it’s residents and their trying to remake California into a socialist third world utopia. Sadly in many places they’ve succeeded. Anyone take a look at San Francisco, the new ‘doo doo’ capital of the USA and Los Angeles with its 60 thousand population of homeless camping everywhere? And sadly, the demise and destruction of the one time ‘golden state’ goes on and on like the Energizer Bunny.
