The recent Durham report highlights the abrupt termination of the foundation’s investigation, leaving doubts about its sincerity and transparency, as well as multiple other criminal investigations. Although the investigations into the Clinton Foundation concluded in 2019 without finding any wrongdoing, there is persistent skepticism surrounding the foundation’s activities.
The Clinton Foundation, established by former President Bill Clinton, has been embroiled in numerous allegations and investigations. The recent Durham report exposes the sudden termination of the foundation’s investigation, leading to concerns about its credibility. Although these investigations concluded in 2019 without finding any wrongdoing, doubts persist regarding the foundation’s sincerity and openness. A source quoted by DailyMail expressed the need for a reexamination of these investigations through congressional hearings and public interviews with the field agents involved, emphasizing the urgency to shed light on the matter.
The Durham reports delve into Andrew McCabe, the former Deputy Director of the FBI, who played a key role in overseeing investigations regarding Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and the alleged connections between the Trump campaign and Russia. The report also highlights James Comey, the former FBI Director, who led the investigation into Clinton’s email server and had involvement in the initial stages of the inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Furthermore, the report alleges that Comey issued a demand for the New York Field Office to “cease and desist” their investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Both McCabe and Comey have faced criticism and controversy, casting doubts on their objectivity and fostering skepticism surrounding the Clintons and their adversaries.
According to Breitbart:
As stated in Durham’s report:
According to another agent, the application lingered because “everyone was ‘super more careful’” and “scared with the big name [Clinton]” involved. 321 “[T]hey were pretty “tippy-toeing’ around HRC because there was a chance she would be the next President.”
Durham’s report also revealed that three separate FBI field offices in Washington, DC; Little Rock, Arkansas; and New York City, New York, opened investigations into “possibly criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation” less than one year before the November 2016 presidential election.
One of these investigations was spawned by Breitbart News contributor Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash, which exposed the Clinton Foundation’s global nexus of influence peddling.
Speaking with the DailyMail, Schweizer said he received “a call from somebody from the New York FBI office after the book came out.”
As the report detailed:
According to Abbate, McCabe stated “they [the Department] say there’s nothing here” and “why are we even doing this?” At the close of the meeting, [FBI Criminal Investigative Division Assistant Director Joe] Campbell directed that for any overt investigative steps to be taken, the Deputy Director’s approval would be required.
Durham’s report also revealed that former FBI Director James Comey demanded, through an intermediary, the New York Field Office “cease and desist” their Clinton Foundation investigation.
Clintons and Democratic elites wield significant influence over the FBI’s targeting decisions. It alleges that Comey and other FBI officials orchestrated cover-ups on multiple occasions to protect the Clintons, while attempting to fabricate the Russian collusion claim to smear Trump. Republican elected officials need to demand accountability from the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ), arguing that they should not be trusted until they demonstrate political impartiality and resist corruption by high-ranking political figures like the Clintons.
