According to Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and the Fairfax City Police, two staffers at Rep. Connolly’s district office were attacked on Monday by an individual wielding a baseball bat. Reports state that the assailant entered the office and specifically asked for Connolly before committing an act of violence against the staff members.

When commenting on the matter, Rep. Connolly said:

“The thought that someone would take advantage of my staff’s accessibility to commit an act of violence is unconscionable and devastating,”

Both injured staffers were promptly taken to the hospital, where they received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Currently, there is no available information regarding the suspect, the motive behind the attack, or further details about the incident. The suspect is in police custody currently.

At 1:34 P.M., Fairfax County police released a statement on Twitter, saying:

“Police are currently on scene at 10680 Main Street #140, the office of Congressman Gerry Connolly, investigating the assault of two staff members. The victims are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is in police custody.”

As new information emerges, updates will be provided regarding this ongoing story.

That guy needs to go to prison for a very long time. There is no excuse for that kind of assault on another person no matter what the political bent or feelings. There is a trend in this country to tolerate unlawful behavior on the part of those that we agree with, (Antifa, Proud Boys, etc.), and no support for the policing agencies that should be there to arrest them along with the DA’s offices that should be prosecuting and are electing not to since they are a favored splinter group of idiotic morons. Put him in prison and don’t let him out! That also goes for anyone else that engages is that kind of behavior!

Funny that I don’t recall this guy ever speaking out against the Supreme Court justices that were threatened and intimidated outside their private residences.
