Joe Biden’s Involvement in Business Calls

  • Business partner of Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, presented evidence to House investigators suggesting Joe Biden’s involvement in business discussions. The former vice president reportedly participated in over 20 speakerphone conversations with business associates.
  • Archer specified instances such as a China dinner with Bohai Harvest RST’s Jonathan Li, which also included the Bidens’ stakeholder shell company, Rosemont Seneca Thornton.
  • Another highlighted event was a business dinner at Café Milano in Washington, D.C. in 2014, which was attended by Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, their business associates, and Yelena Baturina, the billionaire former spouse of Moscow’s ex-mayor.

Financial Transactions and Associations

  • According to Archer, Baturina transferred a sum of $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton in 2014. However, despite this transaction, Baturina is notably absent from the Biden Administration’s sanctions list.
  • Archer and Hunter Biden joined the board of Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, in 2014. Despite its legal troubles and corruption investigations, Burisma remunerated Hunter Biden with a monthly $83,000 board fee.

Burisma’s Pressure on Hunter Biden

  • Archer revealed to investigators that Burisma’s co-founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, along with its executive Vadym Pozharski, exerted pressure on Hunter Biden in December 2015 to seek assistance from Washington, D.C. over their corruption investigation by Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
  • Joe Biden has previously boasted about getting Shokin fired during his 2015 official visit to Ukraine, a detail which now raises questions in light of Archer’s testimony.
