The House Committee on Ethics issues a statement on Wednesday that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is under investigation. Details about what the investigation is looking into haven’t been released but the committee will announce its course of action in the next Congress. Committee Acting Chair Susan Wild says the investigation “does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred, or reflect any judgment on behalf of the committee.”

The Office of Congressional Ethics is compelled to take up any complaint from any citizens and potentially refer it to the House Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee can either decide to take up the matter or dismiss it. In this case, the panel decided to “extend the matter.”
The congresswoman has been the subject of scrutiny since coming into office. Last year, she was hit with an ethics complaint over her attendance at the Met Gala in New York. It was alleged that she broke House rules by accepting free tickets to the event, which brings out celebrities and public figures each year.
Just what did Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez do at the Met gala to cause the ire of the Republicans in Washington and the conservative media ? She wore a dress saying “Tax the rich “. Horrors ! What a horrible reprobate and criminal. she is ! We’ve got to punish this infamous woman to the max ! Give me a break ! The right in America is looking for any excuse, no matter how trivial and. unfounded, to get. AOC for having the nerve to be a courageous and outspoken liberal in congress . Apparently , only conservatives have the right to free speech, not liberals .
But there is no one in the GOP in Washington who comes even remotely close to being as intelligent, fair-minded and. courageous Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez . Instead, the Republicans have such pathetic excuses for politicians as Marjorie Taylor Greene , Lauren Boebert, Herschel Walker ,Paul Gosar , to name only few .
These people are complete and utter imbeciles , lunatics, racist, homophobic, misogynist , xenophobic, white supremacist bigots , and. fanatical evangelic Christians and right-wing extremist fascists – the worst people you could ever imagine being in congress , and now the GOP is going after a REAL politician , stateswoman and patriot by the name of. Alexandria Ocasio -Cortez . Go figure .
