In an appearance on “The Adam Carolla Show,” Tucker Carlson expressed a concerning observation regarding the trajectory of persecution against former President Donald Trump since 2020. Carlson suggested that the continuous opposition Trump has faced, ranging from insults and protests to multiple impeachments and indictments, could potentially lead to an assassination attempt.

“So if you begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment, and none of them work, what’s next? I mean, graph it out, man.”

Adding, We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously, and no one will say that!”

“I don’t know how you can’t reach that conclusion. You know what it’s been like. They have decided—permanent Washington.”

Carlson clarified that he was not explicitly predicting an assassination but pointing it out as a plausible extreme in the continuous campaign of destruction against Trump. He attributed this antagonism to the “permanent Washington,” encompassing both political parties, which he asserted perceives Trump as a formidable threat.

Carlson also noted a movement to incarcerate Trump for challenging election results, an action he deems would be unparalleled in the United States. He expressed profound apprehension about the situation and the ambiguity enveloping the government, especially due to President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. Carlson’s speculation regarding threats to Trump’s life has struck a chord with some conservatives, and his willingness to discuss the potential for political violence mirrors the current state of affairs.
