Katie Arrington, the challenger seeking to topple South Carolina Republican congresswoman Nancy Mace in the upcoming primary for SC-1, is now surging in the polls.

According to a new survey from the Trafalgar Group, conduced between 5/26-29, of likely Republican Primary voters former State rep. Katie Arrington is now within potential upset distance of Mace, clocking in at 41% support compared to Mace’s 46%.

This number is massively different than a poll conducted just days earlier, between 5/21-22 by Basswood Research which showed Mace leading by a commanding 44-24%.

Trump officially endorsed Arrington back in February and she shown continued improvement in her poll numbers since then.

Trump has previously referred to Mace as ‘an absolutely terrible candidate’ whose ‘remarks and attitude have been devastating for her community, and not at all representative of the Republican Party to which she has been very disloyal.’

The congressional GOP Primary for SC-1 is slated for June 14th.

  1. Nancy Mace Has a 90% voting record on the Freedom Index, making her a Rep to be considered for Another term. I understand she supported the Jan 6th Committee, but that ill advised vote should not end our needed support for the Constitution, and the Great Republic .
