President Joe Biden is reportedly expected to announce his decision to ban the import of all Russian oil and gas to the United States today.
As CNBC reports:
The U.S. is expected to announce as early as Tuesday that it will ban imports of Russian oil, a person familiar with the matter told CNBC.
The White House and the Department of Energy did not immediately respond to requests for comment. But the White House on Tuesday morning updated President Joe Biden’s schedule for the day to include an announcement of new U.S. actions intended to “hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and unjustified war on Ukraine.”
It is widely believed that this move will likely drive gas prices to unheard of new highs in the United States in the weeks and months ahead.

We shouldn’t have been buying oil from any foreign source now, we were self supporting and actually exporting some oil two years ago. The Biden regime’s tapping our strategic reserve is not only like putting a band-aid on a sword cut, it cuts into and defeats the purpose for having the reserve to begin with – a national defense supply. The proposed amount of oil from the reserve would only amount to less than a three day need of what America uses, which is about 21 million barrels per day.
As usual moron in charge Biden puts the cart before the horse. We need an action plan that will generate the same amount of gas & oil that we are currently purchasing from Russia in place before we make this move on Russia. IMPO.
