Former President George W. Bush has now backed two GOP politicians that have become the sworn enemies of former President Donald Trump in recent years.
The Details: Bush gave money to the campaigns of both Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) as the two attempt to win re-election in the face of competition from pro-Trump elements of their own party.
According to records from the Federal Election Commission, Bush gave Cheney the maximum contribution in the form of two $2,900 donations.
Bush also gave $2,900 to Murkowski’s campaign.
Cheney was one of the only Republican to vote to impeach former President Trump in 2020.
Both Murkowski and Cheney’s re-election bids will be seen as key tests as to whether former President Trump’s endorsement, or in this case denunciation, still carries the same weight it did previously.

While I rather appreciated Jeb Bush as the Gov. of Florida, the Bush clan of ‘Never Trumpers’ have done exactly what would be expected of them when it came to Dick Cheney’s daughter. They and their allies who detest President Trump would realistically support any and all other Anti Trumpers in situations like the one addressed.
With that being said I don’t recall anything during the Bush administration achieving a welcoming ‘Operation Warp Speed’ vaccine resulting in a disease preventive that has obviously saved millions of lives living under the shadow of the Wuhan Coronavirus. Also, less I forge, can’t overlook Trump-hating Dr.Fauci who financially directing U.S. funds to Communist China’s gain-of-function research in Wuhan. That research enables a disastrous virus to escape a poorly-run and insecure research facility unfortunately spreading havoc on the world. Yah, Trump can be rudely brash but today’s Putin and our enemies were more in line under the Trump administration than what we observe today. Maybe France will be able to talk some sense in Putin’s mindset and help Pres. Biden preserve the peace.
