Sen. Rubio, who previously ran for president in 2016 and then ran for reelection after seeing his White House dreams shattered, is running for reelection in Florida, which is steadily trending Republican. Democrat Congresswoman Val Demmings is running for the seat, making her the most high-profile candidate to jump in the race to defeat Rubio.
