Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO)
Senator Roy Blunt is retiring, making his seat up for grabs in 2022. Very recently, Missouri had a Democrat serving it in the Senate, former Sen. Claire McCaskill who lost to the state’s attorney general Josh Hawley in 2018. Democrats see Blunt’s seat as an opportunity to pad their 50-50 majority in the chamber, with pro-life Republican Rep. Vicky Hartzler, former Gov. Eric Greitens, Attorney General Eric Schmitt, and Mark McCloskey running for the seat.
