Justice Amy Coney Barrett has now angered many conservatives due to her decision to let a controversial vaccine mandate stand.

Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett denied an appeal from students at Indiana University to block the school’s vaccine mandate.
Barrett, who has jurisdiction over the appeals court involved in the case, denied the students request for an injunction against Indiana University’s vaccine mandate on her own without consulting other colleagues on the court and without hearing from the school.

Indiana University told students and employees that they are required to be vaccinated by the start of the fall term on August 23. Students who don’t comply will have their registration canceled, and employees who don’t comply will lose their jobs.
A three-judge federal appeals court panel, including two judges appointed by former President Donald Trump, was one of two lower courts to side with Indiana University and allow it to require vaccinations. The plan announced in May requires roughly 90,000 students and 40,000 employees on seven campuses to receive COVID-19 vaccinations for the fall semester.

Denying an appeal on an unconstitutional mandate? – Barret knew full well what the other justices would say and therefore avoided them and did not state her legal reasoning because there was none to defend her decision.
Good grief, at least understand how the SC works. Each Justice has responsibility for one part of the country and is the one to whom all appeals from that section go to for screening. If the Justice determines the issue should be seen by the whole SC, he/she then forwards it to the entire court. Otherwise, the case is rejected. That is how the SC works and has worked for a very, very long time. The Justices do not see themselves as Queens of Kings of the USA.

It’s not all vaccination mandates, just that one. She’s using the example of tuition: the school requires tuition to be paid if you want to attend that school. It’s voluntary: if you don’t attend the school you don’t pay the school anything. Similarly, the school requires COVID-19 vaccination to attend; if you don’t attend the school, you don’t need to get vaccinated because of their mandate. Simple. And so she caused the challenge to be dismissed: no way the full court needed to look at it. What’s to get angry about?

I am so sick of the sheeple in this country. This is not about the virus it is about control. They are testing to see who will blindly follow. This “pandemic” has been blown way out of proportion. The vaccine carries more risk than the benefit it gives, but you won’t hear that from main stream media. First they say it doesn’t protect against the supposed Delta variant and then today I see a commercial that it does. How has this changed? What research is there to prove it?
If people really think that t-shirt they strap to their faces really works they are just as stupid as people that think this vaccine actually works. I spent 20 years in Healthcare and know what a mask can and cannot do. If you can smell a fart through it the virus can get through it too.
Since this has started I have yet to personally know anyone that contracted “covid” even with close “exposure” However, I do know people that have had serious side effects from this “vaccine”. Miscarriages when pregnant and receiving the vaccine, heart, kidney, and liver issues. That is just a few. Not to mention the hospitals say they have cases of covid that don’t actually exist just to get the funding.
This country is going to hell in a handbasket and as a veteran frankly it pisses me off. I have not been vaccinated, will not be vaccinated, and I didn’t change my life or wear masks constantly. In fact, I don’t wear masks at all and haven’t for the majority of the “pandemic”. How have I and my family avoided getting it if it’s so contagious? We are spread out over 7 states and none of us have gotten it or know anyone personally who had had it. Luck? Or proof this is bullshit?
I will not have my rights trampled on and others shouldn’t either. These mandates are unconstitutional and people need to wake up. My family has spent our lives serving in the military to protect our freedoms and way of life. I will not waiver, I will not give in. We need to take a stand against the government and protect our constitutional. Wake up people and take this country back before it’s too late and you’re crying because you no longer have any rights!!!

It is simply false to say Justice Barrett acted incorrectly. She followed the law, which is what we conservatives are supposed to be in favor of. The lawyer who filed the lawsuit used a ridiculous argument, which provided no legal basis for the Justice to rule in its favor. Isn’t that what we want SC Justices to do?

When I entered college in 1969, I was required to get a smallpox vaccination — which was the only vaccine to which I have ever had an adverse reaction. I don’t recall that the requirement was controversial in any way.
If you can show me where it is legal for a school that receives federal funds demanding that anyone be vaccinated, then I’d agree with her. Problem is, its not. She’s a huge disappointment as most of them are.
