Core personal consumption expenditures, the U.S. Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation reading, rose in last month by the most in nearly three decades under Joe Biden.
FOX Business reports:
Core PCE, which excludes food and energy, jumped 3.4% annually, up from the 3.1% increase in April, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said. The reading was the strongest since April 1992. Prices rose 0.5% on a monthly basis, slowing slightly from April’s 0.7% gain.
Analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting a 3.4% annual increase and 0.6% monthly gain.
Overall, personal consumption expenditures rose 3.9% year over year and 0.4% from April.
As well, personal income declined 2% in May as the impact from stimulus checks continued to subside. In April, Income fell 13.1%.

Don’t blame me I voted for Trump. Hiding Biden has never accomplished anything good for the people. He was the one responsible for taxing your S/S. The Democrats put our S/S and civil service retirement accounts in to the general fund to pay for the Vietnam war. They cry about S/S being an entitlement. Its not. That was money we paid into a retirement fund that was mishandled. The only entitlement we have is welfare.
S/S isn’t an entitlement. We work and pay into it. I know that there are necessary exceptions like people that never have or never will be able to do for themselves. Like my nephew who has an extreme case of downs.
