Though other economic indicators are trending upwards, due in large part to the introduction of vaccines pioneered by the Trump Administration, one key economic indicator is trending downwards: black unemployment.
The unemployment rate for black Americans rose to 9.9 percent in February, even while the overall rate fell slightly.

(Bloomberg) — The Black unemployment rate climbed in February even as most other Americans saw a decline in joblessness, underscoring that the labor-market recovery remains uneven one year after the pandemic began.
The unemployment rate for Black Americans rose to 9.9%, the highest among all race groups tracked, the Labor Department said Friday. The overall U.S. jobless rate fell to 6.2% and White, Hispanic and Asian-American workers saw declines, the data show.
Pandemic job losses have disproportionately impacted minorities, which is something policy makers are watching closely as the economy recovers. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Thursday said that it will take more than a low jobless rate to get to so-called maximum unemployment and that the central bank will be looking at a variety of indicators when assessing the labor market’s health.
In February, the Asian-American unemployment rate fell to 5.1% and joblessness also improved for women, who made up the bulk of payroll gains. Hispanic unemployment fell to 8.5%.
The irony, of course, is that President Biden’s 2020 campaign played up his supposedly strong connections to the African American Community.
It appears however that once the last votes are cast, the black community’s welfare moves, as always, back to the bottom of Democrats’ list of priorities.

Black and Hispanic unemployment was down and surviving a pandemic during a bad year. Now, unemployment is rising. Gas prices were down thanks to energy independence. Dems killed the pipeline and created a greater chance for an ecological disaster because the oil is being transported by trucks and trains rather than a more secure pipeline. My guess is George Soros is behind many of these initiatives with Barack Obama herding cats for him. The good news is that many of the Biden initiatives were not legislated. He used Executive Orders than are easily overturned.
