ANALYSIS — As I reported earlier, the top nuclear scientist behind Iran’s clandestine nuclear weapons program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed in a daring daytime ambush attack on Friday as he was traveling in an armored vehicle outside Tehran. The attack, which many attribute to Israel, has dealt a severe blow to Iran’s security services, and its dangerous nuclear program.
As the Jerusalem Post notes, “It comes the same month that al-Qaeda’s second-in-command was gunned down in Tehran. Tehran can’t keep safe al-Qaeda terrorists it harbors or its own head scientists and generals. No one is safe in Iran’s Iran.”
So, why are top Democrats wailing about his death?
Let’s be clear, Fakhrizadeh wasn’t just a scientist. He was also a high ranking officer in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC, the terror regime’s key military and ideological force, and parallel military. “Even as a scientist he reportedly retained a senior rank in the IRGC as a brigadier general,” notes The Guardian.
But you would never guess that from the comments by Obama’s former CIA Director and harsh Trump critic, John Brennan. In a tweet, Brennan hysterically wrote:
This was a criminal act & highly reckless. It risks lethal retaliation & a new round of regional conflict.
This was a criminal act & highly reckless. It risks lethal retaliation & a new round of regional conflict.
Iranian leaders would be wise to wait for the return of responsible American leadership on the global stage & to resist the urge to respond against perceived culprits. https://t.co/0uZhyBTM3S— John O. Brennan (@JohnBrennan) November 27, 2020
Brennan also showed his never-ending partisan agenda by calling on Iran to wait for the presumptive Biden administration before responding:
Iranian leaders would be wise to wait for the return of responsible American leadership on the global stage & to resist the urge to respond against perceived culprits.
Brennan continued:
I do not know whether a foreign government authorized or carried out the murder of Fakhrizadeh. Such an act of state-sponsored terrorism would be a flagrant violation of international law & encourage more governments to carry out lethal attacks against foreign officials.
Brennan’s bizarre comments started a Twitter battle with Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) who slammed Brennan in response, writing: “It’s bizarre to see a former head of the CIA consistently side with Iranian zealots who chant ‘Death to America.’ And reflexively condemn Israel.”
Cruz also asked a very important question — “Does Joe Biden agree?”

But Journalist Yashar Ali did even better when he was quick to call out Brennan’s partisan hypocrisy on Twitter, noting that:
During the Obama admin, 4 Iranian nuclear scientists were killed and one was nearly killed. While the Obama admin (of which Brennan was a part of) denied US involvement & condemned violence, language like this was never used. @JohnBrennan should weigh in on those killings as well.
Meanwhile, Brennan wasn’t the only Obama-Biden official or Democrat to condemn the killing and essentially defend Iran.
Former Obama national security adviser, and previously short story fiction writer, Ben Rhodes, tweeted: “This is an outrageous action aimed at undermining diplomacy between an incoming US administration and Iran. It’s time for this ceaseless escalation to stop.”
And then there are the Democrat Senators and Congressmen chiming in as well. In the case of Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), it was obvious that a big concern among Democrat appeasers is the killing’s impact on Biden reviving the failed Obama-Biden nuclear deal.
Murphy wrote on Twitter: “If the primary purpose of the killing of Mr. Fakhrizadeh was to make it harder to restart the Iran nuclear agreement, then this assassination does not make America, Israel or the world safer.”
The Democrat chorus would not be complete, however, without Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has defended Iran in the past, weighing in by tweeting:
Speaking out against violations of international law isn’t partisan issue, it’s also not being on the side of Iran. It’s about balance and not plunging the world into more chaotic state than we are already in.
As we can see the Democrats, and the possible incoming Team Biden, are desperately trying to appease Iran in the hopes of reviving the dangerously failed Iran nuclear deal abrogated by President Trump in 2019.
That deal, never ratified by the Senate, had given the Iranian terror regime $400 million in planeloads of cash, and billions in sanctions relief to ramp up their terror operations and ballistic missile programs.
And these Democrats appear willing to say and do just about anything to bring it back.

These sheeple are an embarrassment.
Killing babies is cheered and eliminating a global threat is ridiculed.
I wish Brennen would stick his head up his ars and swallow hard
