A New York congressional race teeters on a knife’s edge after a judge personally reviewed spoiled ballots — leading the Democrat incumbent to declare victory.
Rep. Anthony Brindisi (D) trailed by nearly 30,000 votes on election night. The plethora of mail-in ballots narrowed former Rep. Claudia Tenney’s (R) lead to a couple of hundred votes before New York Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte blocked officials from certifying the results and validated enough incorrectly marked ballots to give Brindisi a 13 vote lead out of more than 300,000 cast.

A revised count from Herkimer County has since given Tenney a 12 vote lead. The legal fight to determine the winner remains far from over.

To my understanding, Herkimer had problems with their vote count and simply made some basic math and counting errors the first time around.
When I called the county’s attorney to confirm this new information, he replied, “No comment, no comment, no comment.” #NY22

The vote count in New York’s 22nd District is a mess, and the status of disputed ballots will likely be litigated in court for quite some time.
In Iowa, meanwhile, state officials will certify today that Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks flipped a Democratic House seat by six votes out of 394,000 ballots cast.
The Iowa race could end up in litigation too, but California Republican Mike Garcia holds a (relatively) robust 405-vote lead and appears very likely to hold onto his seat.
If Republicans win all three races, they would hold 213 House seats in the next Congress — just five seats short of a majority.

This judge forgot that he is an IMPARTIAL observer. Instead he’s acting like a Democrat organizer. He should be terminated for abusing his official powers. Justice is blind unless, it is applied by a liberal judge for liberal clients.

Even though the states legislatures dictate how the election is in their state. The federal election commission should investigate all of these little frauds in their little kingdoms (kinda like the HOA’s). They should prosecute them all, some jail time for more flagrant, but the ones that did not end up in jail, should end up with a felony, which would keep them out of elections. All it would take is a few of the election criminals to get locked up for 10 years, and most of that crap would die down.
I heard a comment that if the people that monitor elections around the world, would have serious issues with this crap we have here. I personally say that everyone should show up at a polling station, with an I.D. with no I.D, they need three witnesses to attest to their right to vote (with I.D), then that person can cast a vote, and get that blue dye on their finger, if they are registered. No absentee ballots except military and government people assigned to overseas assignments. No mail in ballots. If people are in a position that they cannot cast a ballot, then two people (one Dem, one Rep) bring them a ballot to fill out, and then it is hand carried to someone.
Didn’t have all this B.S back in the day when people had to show up to vote.

Last time I checked the judicial branch was there to interpret the law, not make it. If the judge wanted ballots counted he shoulda assigned someone else to do it.
