Houston-area representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has unveiled a long-awaited campaign ad alongside four other prospective members of Congress who are working overtime to ensure Texas stays red.
WATCH:
Stylistically, Crenshaw’s video is reminiscent of the trailers for Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters. Some are already comparing its impact to Kim Klacik’s viral campaign ads. Only time will tell.
The Week’s Peter Weber notes:
The expensive-looking ad has CGI explosions, Crenshaw jumping out of a plane, jocular banter, a teased martial arts fight between the two female candidates, and, for some reasons, a British woman telling a U.S. congressman what mission he is supposed to accomplish. If you want to know what these six candidates hope to do for you in Congress, you’ll have to search out their websites.

This is the only joint campaign ad I recall ever seeing. That makes it the best regardless of how good the ad is. But the ad is great too.
