Hashtags, users and keywords can all trend on Twitter depending on how frequently the words to a Tweet, a topic, or a person are mentioned by Twitter users. However, Twitter decided to find a way to make some users unable to trend.

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine and health policy at Stanford University, was placed one of these “trands blacklists” after voicing his professional opinion about the responce the government took to combat COVID-19. He is a physician and economist who specializes in the study of infectious diseases, public health, and health policy. Bhattacharya is known for his research on the impact of government policies on health outcomes and the cost-effectiveness of different public health interventions.

  1. One thing that bothers me in all articles about Elon Musk; he was a Democrat for most of his life, like me; JFK would not agree with their current programs. He was a progressive who gambled with his money and he recognized that the current twitters had opinions but no invested interest. Spending 44B to lose 1B per year is not a viable solution so he took action. No ‘freaking experts’ with big mouths and small brains 🧠 talk about this. He wants to turn this company into a viable entity

  2. Who is right in Orwellian system called “liberal democracy”? Well, the one who has a bigger bullhorn in his/her hand and can gag opponents more effectively applying totalitarianism dressed in judges’ gowns (first amendment became long time fiction). Once upon a time, opinion censorship was the domain of the likes of Hitlers and Stalin, but now the followers of despotism in the west are quickly learning how to “be right” from their friend Putin. Usually, such luxuries like enforcing censorship can be afforded by multi-billionaires such as Soros, Bezos, Bloomberg or Zuckerberg, but when Elon Musk accidentally released a bird called Twitter from the cage, we heard from the “usual suspects” shout that acceptance of Freedom of Expression is a threat to … democracy”.
