The former longtime Boy Scout and hockey player planned to go to a trade school and possibly become a lineman after his enlistment was over. “Our hearts are broken,” his family said, noting that Daegan loved the brotherhood of the Marines. “But we are thankful for the friends and family who are surrounding us during this time.”
