Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dylan R. Merola, 20, of Rancho Cucamonga, California
Merola had only been in Afghanistan for a little over a week when he was killed in the bombing. He planned to go to college to study engineering after his service was completed.
“One of the best kids ever,” his mother Cheryl Merola said. “Kind, loving… he would give anything for anybody.”
