A freshman New York congressman facing demands to resign is now calling on Joe Biden to come clean about whether he is qualified for his job, too.
Rep. George Santos (R-NY) has introduced the “Executive Mental Competency Protection Act of 2023.”
If passed, the bill requires the sitting President of the United States to undergo an annual cognitive evaluation, no later than January 1. If a President fails to complete the evaluation as required his or her travel budget would be frozen.
“Regardless of political affiliation, this should be a common sense and bipartisan agreement that when a man or a woman becomes President, they submit to an annual cognitive evaluation,”
“Physical examination results are publicly released throughout their time in office, and a thorough cognitive assessment should also be included, and failure to comply will result in no federal funds being obligated or expended for official travel,” said Santos.
The annual assessment would test the president for general intellect, reading and comprehension, attention & concentration, processing speed, learning and memory, reasoning, executive functions, visuospatial skills, motor speed and dexterity, mood and personality, and memory retention.
Santos’ bill comes after Congressman Ronny Jackson (R-TX,) who previously served as a White House doctor to Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump, called on Biden to release the results of mental acuity tests.
Santos is otherwise known for falsifying much of his life story in campaign materials, including misrepresentations about his educational and professional qualifications and even falsely implying he was Jewish.
Santos has defied calls to retire and is planning to run for re-election despite previously stating he would not seek a second term.

Sounds like a good bill to me but should also be for Senate and Congress as there are many old people there but some of the younger are just crazy
