Hakeem Jeffries serves as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 8th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he was previously a member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 57th assembly district in Brooklyn. Jeffries is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and serves as one of the co-chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

McCarthy is a weak and ineffective lamebrain who rolls over on important issues and has zero plan should he be elected as Speaker. Personally I don’t think he knows very much about oparlementart procedure. I hope he doesn’t get the gig.
If concessions are agreed upon, those making the demands must support McCarthy. Our nation is vulnerable, entering a dangerous period.
