On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court decided there is no constitutional right to Roe v Wade. While this does not immediately ban all abortions throughout the United States, Democrats feared that many states would choose to ban many, if not all abortions. Currently, there is no push for a measure of that nature.
Now, as a result of this Supreme Court ruling, abortion is one of the most highly debated topics in politics once again.
Democrat Tim Ryan, as expected, was pro-choice. Ryan stated that believes that Roe v. Wade should be codified into law.
Republican J.D. Vance stated that he believes abortion should only be utilized when it’s necessary, such as times when a mother’s life is in danger, or in instances of rape and/or incest. Vance stated he would support a “minimum national standard”, such as the 15-week abortion ban proposed by Lindsey Graham.
Things got interesting when the case surrounding a 10-year-old Ohio girl who had to get an abortion in Indiana as a result of Ohio’s abortion laws. Vance first responded with his belief that the girl should’ve had the option to get an abortion, then said,
“That poor girl was raped by an illegal alien, somebody who should’ve never been in this state in the first place…if you had done your job, she would’ve never been raped in the first place,”
“Do your job on border security.”
Amen! Having aborted “clumps of cells” twice now at 72y/o I realize abortion is murder. Of course, situations vary especially if a child is raped, but in general abortion is murder of another human being.

Of course the left always brings up the abortion issue because that’s the only thing they have to talk about. No matter how they frame it, abortion is not the most highly debated topic. Most people are more concerned with the pocket book issues, like inflation, and the economy, and those areas are where the GOP is rated more likely to fix those problems than the democrats.
That has to be the best comeback in the history of debates! Vance hit the issue head on, if not for the Democrats lax attitude on the border that little girl would have been just fine, and not needed an abortion, which will haunt her the rest of her life.
