Democrats in the House of Representatives have now blocked a bill by GOP Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks which would have mandated that all illegal immigrants being released back into the US first test negative for Covid-19.
As Fox News reports:
Miller-Meeks’s measure was brought up on the floor a day after the Iowa congresswoman joined some of her colleagues for a trip to see the immigration crisis in El Paso, Texas. The GOP calls to consider the measure were blocked by Democrats.
I was at the border yesterday. We have a crisis that must be addressed.
My bill would simply require any individual released into the U.S. from CBP/ICE to receive a negative #COVID19 test.

Miller-Meeks called for the bill to be brought to the House floor for a vote, saying that the U.S. is facing a “crisis” at the southern border that “must be addressed.”
“We are still in a global pandemic, and we are unnecessarily putting lives at risk,” wrote the freshman congresswoman.
The Democrats’ refusal to consider Miller-Meeks’s bill coincides with a challenge to the Iowa congresswoman’s election win by her opponent, Rita Hart, that was voted to move forward in the House Administration Committee on Monday.
It appears that Democrats only care about rigorous coronavirus testing when it is being done to make life more difficult for average, hard working Americans not illegal immigrants.

WHAT Miller-Meeks basically said that most true Americans and Elected members of Congress should have understood was that by NOT going forward with the reasonable requirement that true AMERICAN CITIZENS are being put at high risk concerning COVID 19 and likely other diseases by NOT mandating a negative COVID19 test of any and ALL ILLEGALS before allowing them into OUR UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! Refusing to enforce this mandate should be considered a CRIME punishable by immediate removal as a member of Congress!
