Joe Biden may have won the presidential election, but liberalism is getting slaughtered among Americans voting with their feet.
Low-tax, Right to Work, red state Tennessee and Texas appear to be America’s top destination for people moving to new states, according to statistics released by the trailer and van rental company U-Haul.
Each year the company ranks all 50 states by “net migration,” which it calculates by taking “the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a state versus leaving that state in a calendar year.,” the company announced in a press release. U-Haul rents over two million trucks, vans and trailers a year.
U-Haul’s rankings are as follows, with last year’s ranking in parenthesis.

“I’m seeing a lot of people from California move (to Tennessee) because they’re attracted to our lifestyle,” said Jeff Porter, U-Haul Company of Nashville president. “Tennessee has no income tax and is very business-friendly. There are plenty of jobs. People and companies are taking note. Places like Nashville, Murfreesboro and Clarksville are attracting tons of new residents. Nashville is ever-growing, and even the era of COVID-19 isn’t slowing that. We were seeing movement before the virus hit, but I think the situation has pushed a lot more people away from the West Coast to our state.”
The list appears to be an indictment of liberal economic policies, and an endorsement of conservatism.
15 of the top 20 are Right to Work states, where you cannot be fired or denied a job for refusing to join a union. Nine of the bottom ten are compulsory unionism states, where paying a union boss can legally be a condition of employment.
The five most popular states all have Republican governors, while four of the bottom five have Democrat governors.
If you move to one of the more desirable states, please leave your failed leftist ideology in your departure state.
the smart ones will but the not so smart are coming into arizona and turning our state blue so it won’t be long and we will have to learn how to speak calipornian when that happens I will move to tennesee
yes
I see this migration as birds flying away during a fire! This fire will continue to burn until it burns itself out with nothing left to feed it! My God loving intuition, from my heart and soul.
Yes again, We sure don’t want Any more liberals here in Idaho!!!!!
From the people we know who are leaving their particular state for elsewhere are mostly patriots who believe in free speech, our second amendment gun rights, NRA members, freedom lovers, Trump supporters and people who love our America and who will fight the liberal left wing swamp slugs.
I just hope that they realize the reason that they are leaving is because the liberals have destroyed their state and that they will change their way of thinking once they get to a state that has a Republican governor that knows how to treat his constituents with respect instead of contempt.
don’t count on it. Liberals rarely see themselves as the fault of their own destruction – they blame everyone else who doesn’t think like them. Just listen to Obama – he blames Bush for four years and then Republicans for the next four for his failures.
Bingo!
You got That right, Stephen!!!!
They don’t do that. And that is how Virginia turned blue.
Amen to that sentiment. Please do not move to a conservative red state and bring the liberal communist ideology of your state with you. If it failed in the state you are fleeing then it will also fail in the state you are moving to. Please be respectful of your new home state and adopt its conservative ideology which has made the state successful and its citizens prosperous.
It never works that way, Californians have been flooding into Oregon/Washington for years – both states are now as far left and out of touch with reality as California!
You are absolutely correct. Years ago (in the early 80s) I was traveling in Oregon to meet a friend near Bend. Passed under a train bridge, on which someone had left a sign that stated, “Californians welcome, but once you spend your money get out!” The REAL Oregonians knew what the possibilities were even at that time.
By all means.
I hate to see my state go purple and then generate deficits with the influx of those escaping bureaucratic red tape and tax-and-spend states.
Not much chance of that. They see green pastures to defile and corrupt.
New York, Illinois, New Jersey, California…………all FAILED Socialist, Democrat wonderlands..sky high taxes, lots of regulations, crime, crowded, very , very expensive to live there……wow, what’s not to like?
Now, if all these ppl ‘refugees from libturd $#!+-holes’ are sane & not ‘f#€!<ed' in the head, liberals, this is a positive development, otherwise, 'the contagion' is just spreading…
Agree with what you say, but not how you say it.
Sadly, they bring their Blue State Stupidity WITH THEM when they vote. Disgusting. Stay at home and FIX YOUR OWN STUPID MISTAKE
if liberals are swarming into conservative states after they’ve trashed their own, are they going to ruin their new home as well with their mentally ill ideology? they’re like the biblical locust plague, going from one fertile place to another, leaving devastation and misery behind.
