Doctors in a Texas hospital euthanized a disabled black man without his consent, and over his wife’s objections, even though he didn’t have a terminal illness.
St. David’s Medical Center of South Austin went to court to get the power to kill 46-year-old Michael Hickson after he contracted COVID-19. Even though Hickson was not terminally ill, doctors refused to treat him and let him intentionally die because he was paralyzed from a 2017 motorcycle accident.
Hickson’s wife Michelle recorded her conversations with St. David’s doctors, who coldly admitted they felt he should die because he was disabled.
The New York Post reports:
As the recording shows, both agreed that Michael should not be intubated, but Melissa still wanted Michael to be treated aggressively. The doctor insisted aggressive treatment wouldn’t “help him improve” and “right now, his quality of life . . . he doesn’t have much of one.”
Melissa was taken aback: “What do you mean?” she asked. “Because he’s paralyzed with a brain injury, he doesn’t have quality of life?”
…
Melissa tried to respond, but the doctor had had enough. “I don’t mean to be frank or abrasive, but at this point, we are going to do what we feel is best for him along with the state, and this is what we decided.”
The hospital was not suffering from a bed shortage, and intubation is not considered an “extraordinary measure” hospitals can refuse to take to keep a patient alive.

What a lie! There are other hospitals that they could have transferred him to. Courts, even in Texas, rule to have the patients live if there is no living will opposing action signed by the patient.
they might of done them both a favor because of his shape already his body would of went tru hell trying to throw of this virus
Refusal to intubate or letting nature take its course is NOT EUTHANASIA. I do not know why the doctors did not intubate , but do not believe the reasons stated. Quite possibly they did not believe he was a suitable candidate.
