The State of Minnesota under Attorney General Keith Ellison has elevated the charges against former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin and charged three more ex-officers in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
Chauvin, Floyd’s arresting officer, now faces the charge of second-degree murder. Three other officers, Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng, and Thomas Lane, have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder as well as second-degree manslaughter. (Insider)
Arresting officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee to Floyd’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds and ordered him to “relax” as the 46-year-old black man repeated, “Please, I can’t breathe.” Chauvin was arrested on May 26 on third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges.

Ben Crump, one of the attorneys representing Floyd’s family, issued a statement on Facebook, calling it a “bittersweet moment.”
“We are deeply gratified that Attorney General Keith Ellison took decisive action in this case, arresting and charging all the officers involved in George Floyd’s death and upgrading the charge against Derek Chauvin to felony second-degree murder,” he wrote.

Ellison is a left-wing Islamist who is as impartial with police officers as Hitler was with the Jews! The officers were wrong and should be disciplined and/or punished. However, this will be a “Kangaroo Court” in every manner! The only purpose for this trial will be to placate the leftists, make an example of these police officers, and attempt to destroy the morale and credibility of police officers!
I’m hoping that this qwells the fire in the stomachs of those who feel aggrieved by what happened to George Floyd. I can see the the officer who was arrested who had his knee on GF’s throat being charged with murder. Not sure the other three deserve murder charges. They definitely don’t ever need to police again and surely must do some time for allowing this heinous crime to be permitted.
Now some here seem to sympathize with the police who did the crime, now the fact that made the charges so proven is when the officer holds his knee on the persons neck for almost 3 minutes after there was no pulse, now that is proof of indeference and if I kill anyone with indifference it is murder so why not the same for a police officer, who had enough help to put a handcuffed person in the police car forcefully, now it bioikls down to the fact of how much force a police person can use to subdue a person, when they have stun guns as well as other means of control, now the man was not in any video showing violence toward the officer in any way.
Another man was murdered guarding a friends business. Will there be a protest. I doubt it. Even though he was black also. The difference is he was shot by one of the thugs that was with the protesters. And it might have been a black thug which makes a big difference.
Don’t get me wrong. what the police officers did was wrong and they should have to face the consequences for what they did. But when you are talking about 2 sets of justice, one for the Black and one for the white people. There is another for the Black on Black murders, also the Democrats and the Republicans. Right now there is all kinds of justice. If we are going to fix one, we need to fix them all.
But this is how mob violence works, and why it’s so wrong. It always ends in far more injustice than whatever started it.
Also the fruits of political correctness – different sets of standards for different people.
This will only do harm to black people [already has done MUCH more harm] for the future, not to mention whites.
What we have now are groups of people simply waiting for an excuse to commit crimes. They are criminals already in their hearts. When I saw what was happening, I knew that these people were actually GLAD in a way, for the EXCUSE this provided to do what they’ve been hankering to do for a long time. They LOVE – I repeat LOVE it – when their “racism” narrative is validated, and they can then retaliate. They relish it. They lust after and savor it. They rejoice over the “proof” that they’ve been “right” all along. They are hellish humans who are filled to the brim with resentment, and want nothing more than excuses to act it out.
And you can bet that if nothing ever happened, someone from the agitation against America conspiracy would create something or stir it up. They already do this to Trump – if they can’t find anything to twist and slam him for, they literally make it up. They wait with baited breath, looking for anything they can use against him, and the same with the “racism” crowd, who never stop whining no matter how good things get for them.

Attorney general Ellison is asking for a hung jury or acquittal if he gets too greedy with the charges….. watch the charges get knocked down by a jury to involuntary manslaughter for the one officer and misdemeanor charges or acquittal for the other three…
